C-900 Fittings

C-900 fittings through 60″ are available from Specified Fittings and exclusively use the Reiber locked-in, steel backed gasket. These gaskets are generally of SBR composition but are also available in EPDM, FKM, Viton, Nitrile, and CR—to name a few. Remember large diameter PVC fittings are the best choice for all sewer and force main sewer applications. INJECTION MOLDED FITTINGS FOR C-900 PIPE

All molded fittings for 4” through 8” C-900 pipe shall be one-piece injection molded or a combination made from a PVC compound meeting ASTM D1784. Fittings shall be Class 150 and conform to the requirements of DR 18. All fittings shall also meet the requirements of ANSI/AWWA standard C907-91. Gasket bells shall conform to ASTM D3139 with gaskets conforming to F477.

Fabricated FITTINGS FOR C900 pipe 

All fittings for 4” through 12” C900 pipe shall be one-piece injection molded or
fabricated from a PVC compound meeting ASTM D1784. Solvent weld- or gasket-end fittings are option of user. Solvent weld bells shall be compatible with C900 pipe. Gasket bells shall conform to ASTM D3139 with gaskets conforming to F477. Gaskets shall be locked-in style. All fittings shall be from NSF-61 materials for use in potable water systems. Configurations requiring external fiberglass  reinforcement shall conform to quality requirements of AWWA C900.

All fittings for 1/4″ through 24″ Schedule 40 pipe shall be one-piece injection molded or fabricated from a PVC compound meeting requirements of ASTM D1784. Solvent weld, threaded or gasket end fittings are option of user. Solvent weld bells shall be compatible with IPS PVC pipe as stated in ASTM D-2241. Threaded end connections shall meet the requirements of ASTM D2464. Gasket bells shall conform to ASTM D3139 with gaskets conforming to ASTM F477. All fittings are to be made from NSF-approved material.

Gaskets shall be locked-in style.
Fittings for Schedule 80 Pipe

All fittings for 1/4″ through 24″ Schedule 80 pipe shall be one-piece injection molded or fabricated from a PVC compound meeting requirements of ASTM D1784. Solvent weld bells be compatible with IPS PVC pipe as stated in ASTM D-2241. Solvent weld, threaded or gasket-end fittings are option of user. Threaded end connections shall meet the requirements of ASTM D2464. Gasket bells shall conform to ASTM D3139 with gaskets conforming to ASTM F477. All fittings are to be made from NSF-approved material.
Gaskets shall be locked-in style.

About Our Locked-In Gaskets

Specified Fittings’ locked-in gasket is quickly and easily joined together by simply inserting the spigot end of the pipe into the bell socket of the fitting. Multi-lip design of the sealing gasket provides a positive seal that is pressure and vacuum tight. Retained ring design prevents fishmouthing or dislocation of the gasket. Sealing gasket is exceptionally smooth and completely free of core marks. Selection of the correct material to be applied to a sealing system will depend not only on the characteristics of the fluid to be contained but also the properties of the surrounding environment. Gaskets may be made with a variety of different compounds, depending upon the application. Composition of the standard gasket is SBR, but we also offer EPDM, nitrile, Neoprene and Viton.
